Americans Aren’t Feeling So Optimistic These Days

U.S. voters continue to be largely pessimistic about the country’s future.  We need to be able to think about a bigger and brighter future, but we’re not feeling that way.  The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of likely voters shows that 46% of those surveyed think America’s best days are in the past.

37% say they believe that America’s best days are still ahead.  And 16% say they’re not sure.

Optimism about the nation’s future has generally been in the mid to high 3os for most of the Obama presidency.  With a number of economic indicators hitting new lows in recent days, it’s not surprising that voters continue to favor a government with less services and lower taxes.

65% say they’d favor a smaller government over one with more services and higher taxes.

David Walker, the former comptroller for the General Accountability Office, recently resigned because he was not allowed to tell the American public the truth about the escalating national debt.  In 2007 it was at $9 trillion and he said we had nearly $63 trillion in unfunded liabilities including Medicare and Social Security that we don’t have money in our coffers to pay.

In October 2009 our government was operating totally in the red for nearly a year and three months until January of 2011 when Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid announced that the government was finally solvent enough to cover what it was paying out in benefits again.

Both parties say we need to cut at least $4 trillion over the next 10 years, but David Walker says that more will be required to keep the government solvent.

He says we can’t do that without both spending cuts and tax increases.  Walker says first we’ll need to make several billion dollars in cuts immediately in discretionary spending.   Next he says we’ll need to cut $100 billion in the 2012-2013 budget.

The third and final part of his debt remedy deal is to institute budget controls with pay-as-you-go requirements, annual spending caps and specific debt to GDP targets.  If the targets aren’t hit by late 2013, buzzers would sound, lights would flash and the deal would trigger automatic draconian spending cuts and higher taxes.

Every tax payer in this country should be paying very close attention.  An economic reality check is getting closer.

What To Expect In the Next Decade

Dave Ramsey recently pointed out that Americans now have more in their 401(k) than they did in October of 2007 when everything fell apart.  There are actually two reasons for that.

Number one, people have added money to their 401(k) over the past 4 years.  Secondly, if they didn’t add money and their 401(k) was linked to the S&P 500 Index, for instance, over the past 10 years you’ve barely made 2.99% by the end of first quarter 2011.

Contrast that with people who’ve followed the Missed Fortune strategies during this last ten years experienced predictable, safe tax-free growth of 7.23% growth and have doubled their money from where they started.

Market uncertainty will be a part of the next decade as well.  Wall Street has lost more than 45% of the typical investor’s money twice in the last decade.  The typical equity mutual fund investor has only averaged a 3.83% return for the past 8 years.

There is a much better way to put your serious money to work.

With a Missed Fortune strategy like Indexing, you don’t lose a dime when the market goes down and you start earning again the second the market goes up.  With a Missed Fortune strategy like linking your returns to those things that inflate, inflation helps you rather than hurts you.

And with the Missed Fortune strategy of accumulating your money in a tax free vehicle, you avoid the higher taxes that are surely on the way.

Learn how to put these strategies to work for you. Talk to a Missed Fortune advisor today.

The Next 10 Years Should Be Interesting

Where market uncertainty was a hallmark of the Lost Decade, the next 10 years have potential to be much more interesting.

Most Americans who lost money in their IRAs and 401(k)s over the past few years are just now starting to get back to where they were 10 years ago.

Now we’re facing a triple whammy of higher taxes, inflation and market volatility that could prove very challenging for those who fail to position their money properly.

People who’ve learned the Missed Fortune strategies and followed them, have predictably been able to double or nearly triple what they had 10 years ago. Not only did they do it during the biggest downturn since the Great Depression, they’ve done it tax free.

This is important because with the Bush tax cuts expiring in 2012 and the prospect of more tax hikes on the way, you’ll need all the tax protection you can get.

Government spending continues at a breakneck pace and Congress is looking to raise taxes to meet their funding needs. Taxes are going up. Count on it.

In addition to raising taxes, the printing of money to cover the payment of government obligations is setting the stage for increased inflation.

Social Security has a $63 trillion dollar deficit owing that it has promised to pay out to recipients in future benefits.

It’s time you knew what you don’t know about keeping your fortune from slipping through your fingers.

31 FLAVORS of How People Miss Out on Fortunes

FLAVORS is an acronym that stands for Fortunes Lost Amid Valid Optimization & Reallocation Strategies.

These are rules and strategies that even seasoned tax attorneys and accountants don’t know until they’re shown.

People miss out on fortunes because they choose short term investments for long range goals to fund their retirement.

They put their money into what are termed “crawl investments” that offer too low a rate of return compared to the rate of inflation. They miss out on money that could be made by linking their returns to those thing that inflate.

Some put money into “walking investments” where they place their money in retirement vehicles that are tax deferred rather than tax free. This means that they pay through the nose in taxes when they start to withdraw funds from their IRAs & 401(k)s.

If you understand how money works you can put the equity in your real estate to work to accumulate, over a 30 year period, a huge windfall for your retirement.

By empowering your wealth, you learn how money works, you employ a system of accountability and responsibility and you learn better ways to grow your money tax free.

Learn how to time the markets, how to do a strategic roll-out that protects your principal with a predictable rate of return that accumulates tax free. You can learn the power of compound interest and so much much more in the Missed Fortune strategies.

It won’t just benefit you, this knowledge will also bless your family when your fortune transfers to them when you’re gone.

Like a Ship Taking On Water

Our national ship is taking on a lot of water in the form of debt. It’s easy to see the waterline is rising. This is due to misguided management in the financial industry coupled with addictive government deficit spending.

National and corporate leaders have done what every Ponzi scheme architect has done by bringing in new money to cover for old promises.

Take Social Security for example. If this program didn’t bring in new money to cover current recipients income it would quickly go bankrupt.

Baby boomers are starting to retire and the workforce is shrinking. When Social Security was started, there were 15 workers contributing for every one recipient. But those numbers have shifted to where we now have 3 or 4 workers for every recipient of Social Security.

It won’t be long before we’re down to 2 workers for every recipient and government will have to take more and more of our income to pay out what it has promised.

Social Security debt is at $62 trillion. To get the sense of how much money that is, $1 trillion dollar bills lined up end to end would reach from here to the moon and back 200 times.

This means that, after adjusting for inflation, the federal government has obligated itself to paying more than $100 trillion that it has not collected from by withholding from American workers paychecks.

The government doesn’t have the money to cover its expenses and the only way it can get it is by withdrawing money from our paychecks each month or by printing more money–causing inflation.

The bottom line is we’re going to have more and more people in the wagon and fewer and fewer workers pulling.

The day of reckoning could come as soon as the next 10-15 years. Or it could be partially happening now.

The government has already been collecting less in Social Security than it has been paying from October of 2009 to January of 2011.

If solvency is defined as barely bringing in enough to cover what is paid out, we’re in big trouble.

More Trouble On the Horizon

Medicare is six time larger in terms of unfunded obligations according to former U.S. Accountability Office comptroller David Walker.

With current figures it would require $700,000 from every full time working individual in America in order to cover the huge social security and medicare liability.

The U.S. national debt is over $14.3 trillion and the interest alone accrues at just under 41 billion dollars an hour.

In an article outlining 3 ways your Social Security payments are already being cut by Alicia Manelle says, “Lost in the debate is the fact that even under current law, Social Security will provide less retirement income relative to previous earnings than it does today.”

Social Security may no longer be the mainstay of the retirement system for many people.

There are 3 main issues that are fast approaching.

1. The retirement age is going to be extended from 65 to 67 depending upon when you turn 65.

2. The increase in Medicare premiums from 5% to 12%.

3. The taxation of Social Security benefits.

These dangers should be clear to you by now.

Taxes are going to go up. Inflation will decrease the purchasing power of the dollar. And market volatility will continue for the foreseeable future.

Those who have learned and applied Missed Fortune Strategies have learned how to protect their serious retirement money from rising taxes, inflation and market uncertainty.

They can sleep soundly at night knowing that their money is accumulating tax free, not tax deferred. Their returns are linked to those things that inflate so inflation becomes a help and not a hindrance.

They’ve repositioned their serious cash to participate in any upside the market may experience without risking their principal in the market.

The Missed Fortune strategies have worked for them for nearly 3 decades. They will work for you. Contact a Missed Fortune advisor to learn how.

Changing How Congress Is Elected & Represents Us

In 1971,the 26th Amendment granting the right to vote to 18 year olds only took 3 months to ratify because the people wanted it.

Seven of the 27 amendments the Bill of Rights only took a year or less to ratify because of public pressure.

The proposed Congressional Reform Act of 2011 includes term limits, denies tenure and pensions, requires Congress to participate in Social Security, and requires Congress to purchase its own retirement plan.

It also takes away Congressional health insurance and requires them to purchase their own. Congress can no longer vote themselves a pay raise and must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.

The Act also states that all contracts with existing or past congressmen will be null and void effective January 1, 2012. Is this what it will take to get Congress to represent us and not just their own interests?

The Founders envisioned citizen legislators not professional politicians.

It took us 100 years to accumulate 9 trillion dollars in debt and in the last 5 years Congress has grown the debt to nearly 14 trillion dollars.

How Congress is Affecting Your Money

The Washington Examiner recently published an article saying that Senate Democrats are preparing a stealth budget bill to derail the Ryan Budget that passed the House overwhelmingly in April.

The Senate Democrats say that the Ryan budget cuts too much spending and doesn’t raise taxes enough.

Spending cuts are so small in comparison to the kind of cuts that need to take place that they amount to virtually nothing.  We need to cut trillions–not just billions.

With this kind of spending, it’s clear that taxes will be increasing.  Even if the Bush tax cuts are allowed to simply expire, it will still be a huge tax increase.   The triple whammy we face in the next decade includes market volatility, higher taxes and growing inflation.

Congress needs to understand that raising taxes in a recession is the kiss of death for businesses.  It could lead to a true double dip recession.

Instead of raising taxes, we need to raise the revenue that’s being taxed and that’s been proven to work as in the Bush tax cuts that followed 9/11.  We have a serious debt problem and Congress is refusing to take the steps that would address the spending crisis.

The Ship Continues Sinking

Fortunately, there is a lifeboat for those who are willing to take advantage of the year and a half window that remains to reposition your money into investments that accumulate tax free instead of tax deferred.

Let’s say you invested $100,000 dollars and you end up tripling your money in 10 years.  Down the road you’d have to pay 1/3 of that in taxes then your actual money is only $200,000.

If taxes increase to 50% as the Congressional Budget Office is predicting they will by 2021, your nest egg is going to run dry in an amazingly short time.

You need a hedge against inflation that ties your rate of return to those things that inflate so you continue to earn when inflation comes.

You need to index your money in such a way that your money grows when the market grows yet doesn’t lose money when the market decreases.

Meet with a Missed Fortune advisor and learn the strategies that will get your money safely aboard the lifeboat.

Why Taxes Must Go Up

Taxes will be rising. The writing is on the wall.

Federal debt has gone from $9 trillion up to $14 trillion in the last 5 years alone.

According to an article by Curtis Dubay of the Heritage Foundation, Congress would need to more than double income tax collections just to cover the deficit and the debt that we’ve added in the last 5 years.

He says that income tax revenue would have to increase over 144% just to cover the overspending that’s already taken place.

If Congress were to only tax those making over $250,000 per year, which the president has advocated, their top tax rates would have to rise to levels of 132% and 142%.

Since it’s not possible to tax above 100%, these are literally impossible tax levels.

According to the Congressional Budget Office, if the president’s 2012 budget is enacted, interest payments alone will total $931 billion in 2021.  That’s 20% of all tax receipts.

95% of all tax revenues would be spoken for by mandatory entitlement programs before Congress could even consider allocating for defense or any other essential function of government.

Raising taxes will not solve the problem as long as spending continues unchecked.

Tax rates would have to be raised perpetually to keep pace with this.  This is why taxes will be going up.

The Coming Triple Whammy

In most decades, you’ll have 7 years of market growth and 3 years of market decline.  If you had your money in the market during the last decade, you experienced a total of 5 down years, so your 401(k) or IRA is already behind the curve.

Most Americans are only up an average of 2.99% over the last decade thanks to market uncertainty.  This is just one facet of the three-pronged challenge before us.

We also have taxes almost certainly going higher when the Bush tax cuts expire in 2012.

And finally, we have the specter of inflation on the horizon.

So how do we deal with this triple whammy?

To protect yourself from rising tax rates, you must be able to employ strategies that have been part of the Internal Revenue Code for decades.  These strategies enable you to accumulate, access and transfer your money tax free.

Instead of deferring your taxes to a future time when taxes are going up, you set money aside where it will be tax free now and in the future.

Inflation can be countered by linking your return to those things that go up when there is inflation.  This means inflation helps rather than hinders you.

The third danger of market volatility can be nullified by using Missed Fortune strategies that index your money to the market without having to risk your money in the market.  In those years that the market grows, your money grows.  In those years that the market goes down, you don’t lose your money.

The window of opportunity is short, but it’s open right now.  This is the time to reposition your money in order to counter the triple whammy of taxes, inflation and market uncertainty.

Visit with a Missed Fortune advisor and take control of your financial future.

Bad News for the Boomer Generation

A recent statistic claims that 50% of baby boomers will outlive their money.

They’ll run out of savings and have to rely on social security, charity and welfare or their own children for support.

A study in the 1970′s by the Bureau of Labor & Statistics showed that out of every 100 males born in America, by the time they were 65 years old, 36 of them would be dead.

The study also showed that 54 percent were predicted to be dead broke and completely dependent upon social security.

Another 5% would still have an income.  They would continue to work, not because they wanted to, but because they had to work.

In the richest nation on earth, only 5% would be financially independent.

That statistic hasn’t changed in the last 40 years.

Even today, only 5% of Americans are financially independent by the time they hit their golden years.

That leaves 95% of Americans still striving to make ends meet when they reach retirement age.

A lot of these people lost their future back in 2008 when their IRAs and 401(k)s lost 31% of their value on average.  Some lost upwards of 40-50% of their value.

If you lose half of the value of your retirement nest egg, it takes at least 10 years to get back to breaking even.

Putting that money into a bank or a CD at 1% won’t allow you to double your money in that amount of time.   Putting it into the market isn’t the answer either.

There are far better strategies to grow your money without putting it at risk.

We Don’t Know What We Don’t Know

There are at least 31 FLAVORS of missed fortune which is an acronym for:

Fortunes
Lost
Amid
Valid
Optimization &
Reallocation
Strategies

People miss out on fortunes because of the time value of money, meaning if they just did things a little bit differently, they’d increase their net worth drastically.

For instance, right now we’re in tax season.

Many people view their income tax refund as a forced savings program.  Instead of socking that money away and giving the government a zero interest loan, you could change your withholding and set aside that difference.   With an extra $2,000 annually, you could accumulate an extra quarter to half a million dollars in your retirement account.

Government leaders make a big deal out of cutting $100 million dollars out of the annual $3.5 trillion dollar federal budget.

Do the math.  If you spend about $2,000/month on your living expenses and you were to cut your spending at the exact same ration, you’d only reduce your budget by 6 cents.

We don’t have a revenue problem in this country, we have a spending problem and taxes will be going up.

If you’re putting your money into IRAs and 401(k)s and thinking tomorrow’s tax rates will be lower, you’re going to be in for a rude awakening.

There are better ways to save for retirement.

Taking Ownership of Your Financial Future

By implementing missed fortune strategies, you get much better results than simply doing what everyone else is doing.

There’s a huge difference between Mr. Tax-to-the-Max who takes minimum distributions and pays 2 to 4 times as much in taxes and Mrs I’ve-a-lot-more who enjoys double the net spendable income and pays about 1/6th as much in taxes.

Mrs. I’ve-a-lot-more stimulates the economy by taking ownership of her future rather than just rolling over and paying too much in taxes.

Instead of getting a tax refund and spending it after letting the government keep your money for a year, learn how to put that money to work for you and accumulate an extra quarter million, half million or even a million dollars by retirement.

Missed fortune strategies teach you how to use a system that protects your money whether the market goes up or down without risking your principal.

You’ll learn to keep your principal safe and make sure you don’t lose the money you set aside.   You keep the money you make and never subject it to risk or loss again.

These strategies can teach you how to earn a rate of return that’s greater than taxes or inflation and that grows your money tax free.

We’ve helped several thousand people take ownership of their future and achieve financial independence.

If you’d like to know what these people know, schedule a meeting with a Missed Fortune advisor.

The Two Year Window You Cannot Miss

The 112th Congress is finally in gear but they have major issues to tackle.

We have a roughly 2 year window before our tax rates go even higher.

What should you be doing during this next two years?

The debt we’ve incurred in just the last 2 years increased by $3.5 trillion. In the last 4 years, the national debt has increased from $9 trillion to $14 trillion. That’s nearly half much debt as our nation incurred in the last 100 years.

The Congressional Budget Office last year said that by mid century average middle income Americans will be paying 50 to 60 percent of their income to taxes. That’s thanks to the spending problem that continues to grow.

You need strategies and solutions so that when higher tax rates come you’re protected.

Even at current rates you’ll pay back 1/3 of what you have in your retirement funds. We must take advantage of this 2 year window.

One thing that didn’t happen this year was that the income tax thresholds didn’t increase like they do nearly every year to allow for cost of living.

For a married couple, on every dollar you make over $68,000 you’ll pay 25% in federal income tax and in 41 out of 50 states you’ll get to pay state income tax as well.

If you’re single, every dollar over $34,000 you’ll pay 25% federal tax plus state income tax. When you start withdrawing money from your 401(k) or IRA you’ll be paying a third of what you withdraw in taxes.

You need to protect yourself because we’re headed to higher taxes.

Stay Tax Free Now & In the Future

Get your money out of your IRA or 401(k) with a strategic rollout to get your money into something that will be tax free from this day forward.

You cannot delay because the rollout process can take a few years to accomplish. Section 101(a) of the Internal Revenue Code has been around far longer than section 401(k) or the section that allows IRAs or 403(b)s or 457s.

Even tax professionals like CPAs and tax attorneys often don’t know about this grandfathered section of the tax code and how to use it correctly.

Get money into vehicles that will be tax free and inflation proof. Inflation is coming, don’t kid yourself.

Indexing to inflation means you tie your investment to things that inflate and you don’t lose a dime in inflationary times.

Otherwise inflation cuts the purchasing power of your dollar every 15 years at just 5% inflation.

You need to have a strategy that allows your money to grow tax free. One that allows you to access your money tax free. One that when you die, transfers your money tax free.

Many Americans with IRAs and 401(k)s are trying desperately to make up what they lost four years ago. During the “lost decade” people missed out on making a fortune.

Folks who used indexing strategies didn’t suffer when the S&P 500 or the Dow Jones fell.

Learn more about these strategies by meeting with a Missed Fortune advisor.

Where Did That Retirement Money Go?

There’s a powerful article in the Wall Street Journal titled: “Retiring Boomers find 401(k) Plans Fall Short.”   It spells out how the 401(k) generation is beginning to retire and it isn’t pretty.

The retirement savings plan of many Baby Boomers and others who thought their plan would see them through retirement age are falling short in many cases.

The median household headed by a person aged 62 has less than 25 percent of what they’ll need to maintain their standard of living in retirement.  This information was compiled by the Fed and analyzed by Boston College for the WSJ.

Even when factoring in Social Security and pensions or other savings, most 401(k) participants simply have too little savings in accumulation. The financial crisis has made things worse.

For example, Mr. Rutchman’s 401(k) is well into 6 figures, his wife has a 401(k) and a small pension from her nursing job.  After consulting a financial planner at Ernst and Young, Mr. Rutchman learned that his savings could run out before he turns 85.

Now he can expect to work for several more years.

By the third quarter of 2008, the average American had lost as much as 31 percent of the value of their IRAs and 401 (k)s. Many lost as much as 50 percent by the end of 2008 and they’re not even back to break even. On the other hand, there are people who didn’t lose a penny in 2008.

Most people who follow the Missed Fortune strategies have 50 percent more than they did just 4-5 years ago.  They did it safely in the worst 4 year period since the Great Depression.

401(k)s used to be a gold mine for money management firms.  Tax deferred income will not save you if taxes are going up and they most certainly are rising. Some advisors still say to stay the course and to keep putting off taxes for the future but if you keep doing what you’ve always done, you’re going to keep getting what you’ve always gotten.

You need to take ownership of your future.  In 30 years the 401(k) went from a small program to a multi trillion dollar industry supporting money managers.

The current median amount most people contribute to their 401(k)s is a measly 9% counting the employer contribution.  Vanguard is now urging people to contribute 12- 15 % over concerns about the stock market’s weak returns and uncertainty about Social Security and medicare.

But is the answer to sock away twice as much?

The Effects of Taxes & Inflation

You must consider the effect of taxes and inflation.  Sometimes people tell our wealth strategists that they have half a million or a million dollars in a 401(k) or an IRA portfolio.  They think they’re in good shape.

If you had a million dollar nest egg you’d have it made, right? Think again.

A million dollars earning 7.2 percent interest a year should allow you to pull out $72,000 annually without depleting the principal. That’s about 6,000 a month.  An average couple that earns over 68,000 a year are are in a 33% marginal tax bracket.

The Congressional Budget Office estimates that because of our tremendous national debt, by mid century most Americans will be paying at least 50-60% of their income in taxes.

If you paid a third of your income in tax on 6000 a month, that leaves you $4,000 of net spendable income per month. If you’re thinking, “I could probably squeeze by on that” don’t forget to factor in inflation.

Say that inflation stays around 5 percent.  At that rate the cost of living will double every 15 years and the purchasing power of the dollar will be cut in half.

This means that 30 years down the road you’ll only be able to buy the same gallons of gas, loaves of bread, prescriptions, golf greens fees, etc. for $4,000 a month that you can currently buy for $1,000 a month. Can you live on a $1,000 a month?

That million dollar nest egg generating $6,000 a month of taxable income is only going to have the same purchasing power as $1,000 a month today.

You need to have a hedge against the tax and inflation power curve by linking your return to those things that inflate.

You need a strategy where your money accumulates tax free not tax deferred.  At tomorrow’s tax rates, a $3 million nest egg can perform as well as a $6 million nest egg if it’s tax free.

If you lost money in the last 10 years and you’re worried about outliving your money, stop following the herd.

You need to learn how to reposition yourself and get something better in place.  You must learn how to safely regain what you’ve lost and have it be tax free.

A Conservative Growth Rate

Religious conservatives are having more children than secular liberals.

In an article titled “Survival of the Godliest,” Phillip Longman writes, “In a world in which child bearing is rarely accidental and almost never rewarding economically, birth rates increasing reflect values choices.”

So, those who end up following that ancient injunction to “go forth and multiply” wind up putting more of their genes and ideas into the future than those who don’t.

I believe the election of Barack Obama in 2008 will be turn out to be a slight diversion — quickly corrected because of the deceptive call for change — in a long term movement toward conservatism in the United States.

Regardless, we’ve already painted ourselves into a corner and it’s going to be tough getting out of it.

The National Debt has grown $4 trillion in the last two years and couple of months. The Congressional Budget Office estimates that the National Debt could rise to $27 trillion by the end of the decade.

That doesn’t include the $62 trillion of unfunded liabilities representing Social Security, FICA and Medicare. We don’t have a dollar of that in our coffers.

Even if we do see some more conservatives in Congress, they’ll have a monumental debt to try to overcome.

The writing’s on the wall. Taxes will have to go up and inflation is just around the corner.

You need to protect yourself and your retirement funds. I can teach you how.

Solve Your IRA and 401(k) Dilemma

It’s very important that you know the difference between tax-deferred and tax-free.

Now’s the time to convert your IRAs and 401(k)s to better, safer strategies and meet your tax obligations now while taxes and account balances are lower.

These strategies grow tax-free, withdraw tax-free and eventually transfer tax-free.

The 5 percent of Americans that are true financial thrivers didn’t get that way by following the same old traditional advice and socking away money in IRAs and 401(k)s.

If inflation hits, you want your money linked to the things that are inflating. In the 1970s, when we had double-digit inflation, I was earning a rate of return of 5.5 percent greater than inflation using conservative, tax-free investments.

I can teach you how to avoid what I call the Baby Boomer Blunders. I can teach you the 31 FLAVORS — Fortunes Lost Amid Valid Optimization and Reallocation Strategies.

I can teach you the difference between Mr. Taxed to the Max and Mrs. I’ve a Lot More.

Now is the time to start securing a prosperous financial retirement.

Worse Than the National Debt

We currently have a National Debt in excess of $14 trillion. That’s up $5 trillion from just four years ago.

Even more critical than our debt – which is accruing interest at $50 million an hour – is the $62 trillion of unfunded liabilities of Social Security.

The government owes $62 trillion to those of us who faithfully paid into the system. They withheld it from our paychecks and that’s what they owe us in today’s dollars.

Do you know how much that will cost in tomorrow’s dollars? In excess of $100 trillion.

A few years ago, the government said Social Security won’t be in trouble until 2042. Then they moved it up and said 2017. Then, in October 2009, Social Security paid out in benefits more than it took in from people’s paychecks.

We’re already in trouble.

Congressional budgeters recently announced that Social Security accounts will no longer be in the black again if current income levels and payouts are maintained.

We have another two years at current tax rates, but after that, rest assured: sooner or later, taxes will be going up and dollars will be worth less. Inflation is just around the corner.

You need to insulate your hard-earned money from taxes and inflation using safe, proven strategies.

I can teach you how.

Solving Your IRA and 401(k) Dilemma

In 2007, I was interviewed by Time magazine. I told them I didn’t own an IRA or 401(k) and never would. They didn’t publish the interview, but two years later they changed their tune.

In 2009 – a year after so many Americans lost 30 to 50 percent of the value of their IRAs and 401(k)s – Time called the 401(k) a lousy idea and a financial flop.

IRAs and 401(k)s are a good way to save for retirement, but they are a far cry from the best way. Roths are a little better, but they’re a far cry from the best way.

I’ve used a safe investment strategy called indexing.

My principle is protected and I don’t lose when the market goes down. When it goes up, I’m credited with whatever the index of my choice earns.

Many Americans lost a lot in the values of their IRAs and 401(k)s in 2008, but I can tell you when you will experience the greatest loss: the day you begin withdrawing.

You need to start avoiding these blunders. You need to convert your IRAs and 401(k)s into smarter, safer strategies. Now is the time.
